Finally, the next consideration to take is the market you are going to work in. Are you a fitness enthusiast? Do you love outdoor canoeing? Hiking, boating? So, take the time and write down what your interests are. You don’t have to be a lover of what you sell. If you do not have a knowledge base you will have to figure out a way to produce content for the market in which you are going to serve in.

Sometimes people complain that they don’t have any interests that could bring in revenue. This is just plain false.

Everything from Bible school materials, cars, lipstick, hair care products, diabetic needles and the list could go on and on here, but I think you get the point.

So, what is the point? The point is that once you go through the video training you will see that everything is being sold online and offline via this business model. Affiliate marketing is huge.

This is what Ford does when it recommends you get GMAC financing. They are an affiliate of GMAC financing and receive huge revenues because they recommend GMAC financing to fund your next Explorer purchase.

This is it in a nutshell. Just because your business is online or virtual and has no REAL address, doesn’t mean that it is a sham.

Think you learn something about success there? If you are awake you could. Don’t get caught up in the traditional way of thinking about business. Right now many of them are struggling to stay afloat. If they had a different philosophy and not one of the “I must kill my competition” type attitudes they would probably be much further ahead of the game right now.

Online and offline you should strive to add extra value to whatever you do. Understand that this is just a great law to follow. Treat your readers and customers and those you sell to the way you would want to be treated.

In conclusion, another thing that ruins many affiliate marketers is having expectations that not one in a million people with the right skill set could accomplish. You must start with the basics even if you’ve been online for some time and follow every major guru for a while. End the confusion. Get back to the basics. The fundamentals are really where it is at. Not the latest whiz bang make you a million by tomorrow at 11:17 while you do nothing.

Get real. If you could really do that would you really want to? There really has to be a fair exchange of value in everything you do. So make sure your expectations are grounded in reality. Make a commitment to your venture and treat it like the business you’d love to show you mom or dad.
